My Approach

In today's world no single psychological theory can fully explain everything about human behaviour. For this reason some psychologists prefer to work eclectically. That is to say, they draw on aspects of a number of different theories and approaches to help provide a client with an understanding of what appears to be going on.

My own approach is to work eclectically striving to find a good ‘fit’ between what a client presents in a session and the approach they will find most beneficial.  Grounding myself in a humanistic approach I believe that every client should be heard in a respectful, non-judgmental and empathic manner. I do not work from a religious framework nor do I prescribe one.  Rather, I work within the religious or spiritual frame of reference presented to me.
